जब वाक्य की क्रिया के द्वारा आदेश(Order), सलाह(advice) या प्रार्थना आदि का भाव व्यक्त होता है, इस शर्त पर Imperative Sentence के वाक्य बनते हैं ।

इसमें Verb का First form शुरू में लिखा जाता है और उसके बाद बाकी के शब्द लिखे जाते हैं । अगर वाक्य में आदर सूचक शब्द है तो Please, Kindly आदि का भी प्रयोग किया जाता है ।

  1. Open the door-दरवाजा खोलो ।
  2. Put the glass on the table-मेज पर गिलास रख दो ।
  3. Work hard-मेहनत करो ।
  4. Pleas Sit here-आप यहाँ बैठिए ।
  5. Kindly sign on this paper-कृपया इस पत्र पर हस्ताक्षर करें ।

जब Order,advice और request पर बहुत जोर दिया जाता है तो Verb के पहले ‘do’ का प्रयोग किया जाता है ।

  1. Do come here-वहाँ जरूर जाओ ।
  2. Please do come tomorrow-आप कल जरूर आएगा ।

आपको बता दें की Imperative Sentence में अक्सर You हाइड रहता है लेकिन अगर सम्बोधन लग जाए तो You और अन्य शब्दों के बाद coma(,) का प्रयोग कर दिया जाता है ।

  1. Mohan, come here-मोहन यहाँ आओ ।
  2. You site there-तुम वहाँ बैठ जाओ ।
  3. You girls, go home-ए लड़की घर जाओ ।
  4. You listen to him

अगर वाक्य में करने दो, जाने दो, अथवा ‘प्रस्ताव’ आदि का भाव व्यक्त होता है तो ऐसे वाक्यों में ‘Let’ का प्रयोग किया जाता है ।

  1. Now let us go-अब हम लोग चलें ।
  2. Let us go together-हम लोग एक साथ चलें ।
  3. Let me go-मुझे जाने दो ।
  4. Let boys play here. -लड़कों को यहाँ खेलने दो ।

Negative Sentence में Verb के पहले Do not का प्रयोग किया जाता है। जब वाक्य में काभी नहीं आता है तो ‘Never’ का प्रयोग Verb के पहले किया जाता है । और let वाले वाक्यों में Verb के पहले Not लग जाता है । 30 imperative sentences
